"WOW" Toys

This little "WOW" brand dump truck has been awesome for the little boys. It has a spring loaded dumper that makes it easy for little ones to dump and the front has a see through window for your little driver. We got it for Tyse last year for Christmas. He has played with it alot and its fun to see Jack push it around now, making truck noises. Im sure most of you know about the "Toy Store" in Topeka (i think theres one in Lawrence too) its awesome, I promise you once you go into it you will never step foot in a "Toys R Us" again, at least we havent.

Fav' Toys

I thought it would be fun to post toys that my boys got last year for Christmas that they are still playing with A YEAR LATER. I love buying toys (mostly because thats all I do all day is play, basically they keep me sain) sometimes they are "one timer" toys that they will play with for a week or even a month then never pick up again. I try really hard to buy toys that they will not get tired of after a few months-which is really hard sometimes. Also, toys that are sturdy enough to endure lots of rough playing. You know if you have read this blog for any length of time that VIDEO GAMES DONT COUNT!! Hey, mabe you will get a Christmas present idea for your little guy or gal.

This first one that made the list is a big bass fish from Bass Pro. When Jasper bought them I thought they would just be taking up space. They have had so much fun with them sleeping on them, pulling as a sleigh, making forts, fishing. We'll see in the next few weeks how many I can come up with.

AWANA

Every Wednesday is AWANA and Andrew is loving it. Its a great program, he is always ready to go by the time 6:00 rolls around. He gathers up his AWANA bag, vest, Bible and quarter and is headed out the door without any prompting WhoooooHooooooo. He started a few weeks ago, and is hoping to get his first badge tonight!! They earn badges and jewels for learning Bible verses. Once in a while their teacher will give them other activities that they are supposed to try and do throughout the week. Once it was to read a devotion every day for a week (great lesson for Jas and I too), once she gave them a Bible verse and they were supposed to see how many people they could read it to in a week. Throughout the evening they are able to earn AWANA money which they save and are able to buy stuff at the AWANA store. Makes for a fun Wednesday evening.

HERE HE IS AT 8:20 AFTER HE GOT HOME......WITH HIS PATCH!! GOOD JOB ANDREW!!

hmmm....ugly or cute?

Last time we were in Topeka I found these "skidders" at Target. Decided they were cute and got a pair, I dont think they will be the last. Hmmmm... Im trying to figure out how to explain exactly what they are, its really hard to tell from a picture on the internet. Ok here goes, imagine if a sock and a shoe had a baby. YUP!! The top is like a sock and the sole is rubber like a shoe. I think they will be especially fun in the spring/summer with a pair of shorts. They have all different colors for both boys and girls.

Sundays are crazy with 2 little boys, but I did catch one great quote that Charlie said yesterday!! Not sure who orginally said it but here goes--"If Christ is risen, nothing else matters. And if Christ is not risen -- nothing else matters." Great HUH?!!?!?!

Merry Christgiving!!

Yep its true, the tree is up!! Go ahead and say its to early, its not even Thanksgiving, its ok we've already heard it. I mean do you really think that just because the tree is up we aren't thankful for everything we have, I mean seriously?!!?!? I decided that with 3 boys the tree just goes up when there is a bit of extra time lingering around!!

Happy Thanksgiving week to all!!
