....tonight we went on our annual Christmas deer hunt. We used to take a nice relaxing trip around town stopping first at Ampride to get a cup of hot cocoa. Now we have spit flying and lots of screaming when we come upon a deer!!
*come on kara, i know you want to compete with us to see if you can find more deer*
I think this story was one of those that you needed to hear to think it was funny. Since this is kind of my "scrapbook" I wanted to document it. Jack was telling a 10 minute story (maybe a bit exaggerated) about a moose who kept bonking his head on a bucket. He thought it was the most hilarious story ever. When the story was over Tyse said "Jack that's not true"... Jack says... "yea but it was funny." Tyse is alot like me in a way that he typically has no problem saying how he really feels.
....Jack and I still use a sippy cup. Yep it's true!! Jack will be 3 in January and he still uses a sippy cup. No, not just at nap time or bed time, pretty much whenever he wants. I really don't care cause there are other things I'd rather worry about. Now with Andrew it would have been a different story. Say I was browsing the internet and I read somewhere that a baby should be done with a sippy cup at 18 months then that was it....I would have taken it away from him that night. With old age and 2 more boys I have learned to go with the flow unless it is hurting them or someone else. I'm beginning to think this sippy cup addiction may be hurtful to him. You see, when he has his cup he also wants his pup (stuffed dog) and he loves to twirl his hair. Here is what happened the other night. His finger was actually stuck in his hair!!

Andrew took the little boys upstairs after bath time and they came down like this....
....I mean seriously!?!?!?!? Normal is a relative term around these parts, but is this normal? School started August 18th and we are already through (there is actually a hole clear through them) our first pair of shoes. These are (were) a nice pair of school shoes that I was hoping would last till at least December-aint gonna happen folks. Now, now calm down-- I'm so THANKFUL for a boy that is able to run and get exercise but even with a knife in hand I cant see how this could happen in less than 2 months. Granted, these are the shoes he wears everyday to school BUT COME ON!! Oh well, good thing we have a trip to the city planned.
....actually.... got a half-way decent picture of Andrew b4 his program. These come few and far between so it was necessary that it was documented.
AND HERE HE IS AS RAPPER PIG AT THE GRANNY AWARDS PROGRAM....HES THE ONE WITH THE BLACK WIG ON

As much as I begged and pleaded my husband was not going to allow for a privacy fence to go up...never....ever on this property. So I went for the next best thing, bushes that will get pretty tall...well, tall enough for a little privacy anyway. Who knew this-computer nerd could plant me 4 bushes AND grass all in the same weekend?!?! Although I think he took in plenty of advise from the BIL he did do it on his own. YEA!!
He's not one to make much of a fuss about the first day of school. Didn't have any clothes picked out....didn't wake up early....it was like a normal morning. He does love school and everything that goes with being in the.... FOURTH GRADE....WHAT THE HECK? 4TH GRADE?......
It was fun to take a family vacation to Branson--no diapers and no bottles-the first time in 11 years. We went a few months ago-I wanted to go somewhere fairly close and remembered going to Branson as a kid....so you know how it is....we want our kids to experience the same stuff that we did as kids. Jamie is an organizer freak-she made us out a whole booklet of what do to and good places to eat....we would have been lost with out it. Here are some picts'
Here is a picture of the first time Tyse ask if we were almost there. We were between Sabetha and Fairview.
Their first experience with Krispy Kreme. mmmm...
Nick A. Im sure that you don't read this, but Jas took this picure for you (Timmy you can tell him about it)
You gotta get a pickle at SDC before riding on the train.
You know how the shows are....they take pictures before you go in and then when you come out they want you to buy them for a couple grand. Well, I'm pretty sure these are just as good and cost MUCH less.
FIRE IN THE HOLE........
We were a little hesitant to buy any show tickets, not knowing how long the boys would sit. We saw a good one at SDC and they loved it. Next time we will have to hit more shows.
Bozo was an amazing "Balloon Artist" as he called it.

A couple of years ago Tyse made up a few words. Zubbo, Ziggy and Higgy. We still have no clue what any of them mean or what they are. Andrew was happy to find this restaurant with the GPS, so we told him to go in front of it and act like a ziggy. So here you are- Tyse acting like a Ziggy in front of Ziggies cafe.
